Position Title: Engineering Technician Supporting Southwest Regional Maintenance Center
Clearance Required: Secret
Work Location: San Diego
Engineering Technician III–VI positions support U.S. Navy ship maintenance, repair, modernization, and waterfront engineering activities at Southwest Regional Maintenance Center. These roles apply progressively advanced technical expertise to evaluate equipment and systems, support troubleshooting and maintenance activities, review technical requirements, and assist with the resolution of complex shipboard maintenance issues. Depending on level and specialty, technicians may also provide technical oversight, conduct inspections and assessments, develop recommendations, and coordinate work with maintenance teams and engineering personnel. Positions are suited for experienced Navy, maritime, and ship-repair professionals with strong hands-on technical backgrounds.

Position Title: Surface Navy Maintenance & Training Professional
Clearance Required: Secret
Work Locations: Norfolk, VA; San Diego, CA; Mayport, FL; Newport, RI
Intrepid Defense Partners is seeking experienced Surface Navy maintenance professionals for anticipated positions supporting the Navy’s Maintenance University program.
We are interested in candidates with backgrounds in shipboard maintenance management, 3-M/365, CNO availability planning and execution, technical instruction, curriculum development, and maintenance analysis—from experienced Chief Petty Officers and 3-M Coordinators to former Surface Warfare Officers and senior maintenance leaders.

Position Title: Maintenance University Instructor — Supporting U.S. Navy Surface Fleet Maintenance Training
Clearance Required: Secret
Work Locations: Norfolk, VA; San Diego, CA; Mayport, FL; Newport, RI
(Travel may be required to other CONUS and OCONUS Navy locations)
Intrepid Defense Partners is seeking experienced Navy surface maintenance professionals to support Maintenance University training and curriculum development for Fleet personnel. Instructors will deliver classroom, onboard, and practical training covering 3-M, maintenance management, availability planning and execution, SKED, OMMS-NG, AWN, CSMP management, and related Surface Force maintenance processes.
Successful candidates will bring substantial shipboard and/or shore maintenance experience and should have served in roles such as Commanding Officer, Department Head, Chief Engineer, Main Propulsion Assistant, SMMO, 3-M Coordinator, LCPO, or other senior maintenance leadership positions. Prior experience supporting Regional Maintenance Centers, Naval Shipyards, TYCOM staffs, Afloat Training Groups, or other Surface Force maintenance organizations is highly desirable.
Candidates must be U.S. citizens, possess an active Secret clearance, demonstrate strong instructional and communication skills, and have recent familiarity with Navy surface maintenance policy, programs, processes, and automated maintenance systems.
